Want to lead your own safari? Sign up for a Zoo It Yourself Birthday Party and receive a packet containing:

Discovery House Birthday Extravaganza

Enchanted Birthday Celebration
You don’t have to be a kid to enjoy this celebration! Bring your birthday person and friends to explore the Zoo at night when the gates are closed and the animals begin to prowl. Staff will guide you through the Zoo and share interesting facts about the animals as well as the Zoo’s conservation efforts. Package includes:
- One and one half hour tour/party for up to 10 guests
- Cake and Ice Cream
- Drinks
- Special gift for the birthday person

Policies
- Reservations must be made two weeks prior to your party.
- Reservations are taken on a first-come, first-served basis.
- Reservations can be made online with a credit card or by calling 734-7184 ext 1501 to make arrangements to mail or deliver a personal check or cash deposit.
- A $50 non-refundable deposit is due upon booking.
- Education staff will call and confirm the details of your party the week of the party and final payment is due three days before the celebration.
- Party reservations are rain or shine, but exception may apply in severe weather at the discretion of the San Antonio Zoo staff.
- All party cancellations and refund requests must be submitted to the San Antonio Zoo Education Department in writing at least five (5) business days before the party. Please note that the $50 deposit is non-refundable and will be retained upon cancellation.
- Balloons, glass containers, plastic drink lids or straws, Styrofoam or alcohol beverages are NOT allowed into the San Antonio Zoo.
